Camel racetrack - Oasis Town Al Ain and a Visit to a Camel Farm
Camel racing is the most popular sport in the UAE. The racetrack is on the way to Al Ain and you get to watch them being trained just after sunrise.
Al Ain is a small city of seven oasis that have grown together over time. Sheikh Zayed, the father of the nation and founder of the UAE, used to live here before becoming the ruler of Abu Dhabi and President of the country. The drive leads us through beautiful desert landscapes until we reach the greenest town in the UAE situated at the base of the Hajjar mountains. A perfect opportunity to explore rural country life and the history of the Emirati people right at the root. We visit the Al Jahili Fort, the traditional markets, Al Ain Museum and enjoy Arabic cuisine.
On the way back, we stop at the Camelicious camel farm. Camel milk is one of the few products of the regions and was essential for the survival of the Bedouins. You get to meet the ships of the desert in person, tour the farm, try the milk and shop for camel milk chocolate or ice cream.
